First Real Blog Post in Years

I’m behind in life. My bills have piled up and I don’t take the time to actually pay them, although I do have the $ to do so. I have friends I haven’t seen in awhile I still need to get caught up with. My room still is not organizied the way I want it. Still things unpacked. I still have writings waiting to be written. I have a long letter explaining my life to those who are connected to my life. Gosh I’m somewhat of a mess. But I’m trying to change that.

I have successfully written something everyday for the first week and ½ of lent. Some days the writing was better then others. Today the writing is ok. I’m doing it. I’m about to post it. I wish I had kept up my writing over the years, leaving a journal for future generations to explore and read. How many electronic writings will be gone someday. How many more trees can be turned into books and paper?

I look back on the oppurtunities that I have had over the years. The missed oppurtunties. The lack of fullfilling certin dreams, goals and using my talents when I should have. Sometimes its really sad of what we could have been or done had we made other choices in life. If God allows me to live long enough maybe I’ll have a chance to fullfill the purpose of why I was born and came to this planet. It’s still possible. I still have time. May I not waste it.

Not the First Time This is the First Time

An anorak is a jacket or coat typically used to be resistant against rain.

In Britain, people who wear anoraks in their social life are often stereotyped as trainspotters or persons with unimaginative and dull pastimes/hobbies.

The closest American slang is nerd which is applied to bookish students. Anorak is not generally applied to students; and the anorak is more of a trivia freak than an overly studious worker.

A geek is a person typically expert at, and intensely focused on, technical equipment, particularly computers; again this is not really an anorak — the anorak offers overly detailed discussion and arcane trivia on "hobbyist" topics. (From Wickipedia)

Does that make me a Nerd/Geek/anorak/British Anorak?

I have started many a Blog (or website) and each time I do I start off by telling you I have done so before. Why start a new one? Why not go and finish the older one?

That is a good question. The truth is all the really cool blogs seem to be from blogger so I decided that I would start one on this site as well. I had a Yahoo blog but I never kept it up. My friends Jeff & Julia were on it, so I was. But it is a new Liturgical Year with a chance to do all the things I didn't do last year. I may have failed to do as much as I could in previous years of my life, but Heck it is time to at least try to set myself up for a possible new failure and maybe surprise my self with a success. Anyway enough about the past... on to the present which is the gateway to the future.

Maybe I'll actually overcome my ADD slow Commodore 64 scatterbrained mind and actually post on a regular basis. With some class and polish. With my grad studies and my procrastination schedule to avoid studying , I don't know if I'll have time to think out my thinks that I think. Christmas is coming and presents must be bought, cards must be made, prayers must be prayed, songs must be sung, TV Specials must be watched, and various other Christmas things must be done as well.

Sometimes I must look up info to write efficiently and accurately in my blogs. Plus I have to spend time fixing my spelling and grammer if I really want it to look somewhat like I paid attention during English class. The info I learn from life is stored away in my brain somewhere and a lot of times I don't have access to it. And I need to use this info for my writing. I love to write but don't always do so. So I then get frustrated and don't want to post because I want a good post and a good post takes time and I don't want to take the time because I could be doing something useful. Anything I am doing is more useful than what I am doing no matter what it is. But of course time and impatience will have me posting somewhat incomplete, badly spelled and overly long blogs. It will take time and mental energy to be able to actually write some decent blog posts. But I know I can do it, but will I discipline myself to do so? If I wasn't so dang lazy and other such things I would do it. But now I must study for my final exam. Too much procrastination all ready...
